Senigallia is one of the most famous seaside destinations in the Marche, known for its Velvet Beach — a 13 km sandy shoreline of extremely fine, golden sand. The town combines history, sea and nightlife, with its charming historic centre and the celebrated Rotonda a Mare.

Rotonda a Mare

The Rotonda a Mare is one of the most iconic symbols of Senigallia and the Adriatic Riviera. Built in 1933, this elegant circular structure stretches out over the sea with its rationalist architecture. Originally a bathing establishment, over time it became a prestigious venue for cultural events, concerts and dance evenings, hosting famous artists in the 1950s and 60s.

Today the Rotonda is a landmark for tourism and culture, offering breathtaking views over the Adriatic — especially at sunset — and a refined atmosphere that recalls the timeless charm of the Dolce Vita.

Marina Vecchia — the historic heart of the seafront

The most traditional part of town, home to some of the very first historic bathing establishments and an authentic atmosphere.

Character: wide beach, very fine sand, shallow waters ideal for children.
Facilities: well-equipped beach clubs, fish restaurants and historic venues on the promenade.
Ideal for: families, couples and anyone who loves the timeless charm of the Adriatic Riviera.

Marina Nuova — nightlife, comfort and sport

This area is the most modern stretch of Senigallia's coast, with a strong tourist vocation.

Character: long, well-kept beach with equipped areas and spaces for sports.
Facilities: beach clubs with pools, beach bars, water-sports equipment hire, events and clubs.
Ideal for: young people, sports lovers and anyone looking for fun between the sea and nightlife venues.

Marzocca — peace and nature

Marzocca is the southernmost district of Senigallia, with a more relaxed, less crowded atmosphere.

Character: a narrower beach with stretches of sand and pebbles, clear water and a more natural setting.
Facilities: a few beach clubs, free-beach areas and small seafront restaurants serving local specialities.
Ideal for: those seeking a quieter, more authentic experience away from the crowds.

There are plenty of free beaches throughout the area. Beach clubs cater to every need, from refreshment service under your umbrella to windsurf lessons, pools, bars and sunset yoga or SUP classes.

Portonovo — the wild, delicious bay

Portonovo is a bay immersed in the greenery of the Conero, famous for its natural beauty and its fish restaurants. The beaches are pebbled and the sea is incredibly transparent.

Portonovo Beach: white pebbles and turquoise sea, with beach clubs and free stretches. Perfect for snorkelling and kayaking. Several beachfront restaurants serve fish specialities, including the celebrated wild moscioli (local mussels).
La Vela Beach: wilder and more striking, it takes its name from a large sail-shaped rock. Ideal for those seeking an unspoilt natural setting.

Sirolo — elegance and wild nature

Sirolo is a medieval village with a refined atmosphere and breathtaking views. Its beaches are among the most beautiful on the Riviera, often set in unspoilt scenery and reachable by footpath or by sea.

Due Sorelle Beach: the symbol of the Riviera — a spectacular bay of crystal-clear water and white pebbles, accessible only by sea or on guided excursions. No facilities; perfect for nature lovers.
San Michele Beach: surrounded by the green of Monte Conero, a mix of sand and pebbles with beach clubs and free stretches. Sunbed hire, bars and restaurants.
Urbani Beach: one of Sirolo's best equipped, with beach clubs, restaurants and convenient parking nearby. Ideal for families.

Conero · 03

Numana — between history and seaside comfort

Numana is divided in two: Numana Alta, with its historic centre and beaches at the foot of the Conero, and Numana Bassa, more modern and geared towards family tourism.

Numana Alta Beach: a small bay of fine sand, beach clubs and clear water. Perfect for relaxing near the centre.
Numana Bassa Beach: wide and sandy, with a large choice of beach clubs offering every service: sunbeds, umbrellas, restaurants, sports and pedalo hire. Great for families.
Frati Beach: quieter and immersed in nature, with light pebbles and crystal-clear water. A few beach clubs available.

Conero · 04

Marcelli — relaxation and fun for everyone

Marcelli is the most modern and best-equipped area of the Riviera, perfect for comfort and entertainment.

Marcelli Beach: a long sandy beach, well equipped with clubs, bars, restaurants and umbrella-and-sunbed hire. Ideal for families with children and worry-free holidays.
Activities and services: water sports such as windsurfing and kayaking, bike hire to explore the coast, and a lively evening scene of bars, gelaterie and seafront restaurants.
